The biggest airport of Asia
Jewar International Airport is also known as the Noida International Airport. It is one of the upcoming International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The airport is being constructed in the town named Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. The town is located in the suburbs of Greater Noida near the Northeast bank of the Yamuna River.
Once operational, the Jewar Airport will serve the National Capital Region while becoming an alternative airport for the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Jewar Airport construction work started in June 2022 and is still in progress. The airport is expected to be operational in April 2024.
